Where do we get the
water?
There are dozens of different water districts in Orange
County and the Inland Empire. Though water is relatively
cheap, each district decides how to account for, meter and
bill for water usage. Not making arrangements with them
and "stealing" water can result in stiff fines and even
arrest.

To get water legally, we contact the
appropriate water district to rent a "floating" water meter.
This involves us putting up a deposit of $500 to $1,000
to ensure the meters safe return.
The cost for the meter rental, deposit and
water will be included in the simple flat fee proposal.
We have been renting meters for 30 years, so
it's a headache your community can avoid.
A small minority of districts refuse to allow
meters to "float", i.e. let us move it from hydrant to
hydrant. This creates a challenge, but not necessarily
an insurmountable one. This would be explained in our
proposal.

We always use the proper wrenches and Eddie
Valves as required by the water districts.
